Huanghetitan

Huanghetitan which means Yellow river titan comes under the family of sauropod dinosaurs which lived in the Cretaceous time scale , it inherits from the titanosauriform's believed to be originated from the region of Gansu a province of China.


Another similar species Huanghetitan liujiaxiaensis known to be explained under the supervision of You et al in the year 2006, the fragments obtained helps in identifying two caudal vertebrae and the entire part of the sacrum, remains of the rib, girdle of the left side shoulder . They were first recovered from the eastern regions of Lanzhou Basin by the Hekou group in the Gansu state of China in year of 2004.

Similar kind of species named H. ruyangensis discovered in the Mangchuan Formation in the Ruyang County of China in the Henan Province , The latest research involving the comparison of various similar kind of species proved that the H. ruyangensis was not similar to H. liujiaxiaensis thus had to be provided with a specific name. Amazingly this species proved to be having the most deep cavities in body than any other dinosaur with a measurement of 3 m which is 10 ft, which was found out from its parts of vertebral column and multiple ribs, one more species which was found proved to be the largest dinosaurs of all others in the continent of Asia and estimated to be the largest dinosaur ever found in the world.

A new category of family was made especially for the Huanghetitan known to be the Huangetitanidae later its family was referred to as polyphyletic under the research of Mannion et al.
