Regnosaurus otherwise referred as Regni lizard belongs to the family of herbivorous stegosaurian dinosaur that has been lived during the Early Cretaceous Period. The fossil remains of the species were recovered in England, Sussex. This herbivore species comes under the classification of Chordata, Reptilia, Dinosauria, Ornithischia, Thyreophora, Stegosauria, Huayangosauridae.
The species was named by Gideon Mantell in1828. The preserved holotype BMNH 2422 is the known part of collection of this species that consists of a partial right mandible. Only the portion of the right lower jaw was recovered till date near Cuckfield in Sussex. The specimen is observed to be six inches long with fifteen tooth sockets. The skeletal structure, length and weight of Regnosaurus still remain unpredicted due to the incomplete remains, but very roughly estimated to be about 4 meters long.
