Eodromaeus Dinosaur is a species of dinosaur that lived in the late Jurassic period, approximately 155 to 135 million years ago. It is one of the earliest dinosaurs known to have existed, and one of the smallest. Eodromaeus was a small dinosaur, measuring less than 1.2 meters (4 feet) in length and weighing around 10 kilograms (22 pounds). It was a primitive carnivore with a simple skull and a flexible tail. Its limbs were relatively short compared to those of later theropods. Its strong legs allowed it to run quickly and leap similar to that of a modern cheetah. Its forelimbs were adapted for grasping prey and may have been used in digging as well.
The name Eodromaeus means dawn runner in Latin, indicating that this species may have been one of the earliest animals to move away from being a quadrupedal to a bipedal animal.
